Cha Chaan Teng is a traditional type of Hong Kong tea house. They serve both Western and Chinese cuisine. We had garoupa with corn and fried noodles topped with shrimp.

Julie's friend Henry was in town and we went out to dinner at a traditional Cantonese restaurant:

Snake soup! But it was mixed with chicken and fish, so you really couldn't tell what the snake was.

Thanksgiving in Hong Kong

Thanksgiving was a hectic day. The Mumbai bombings were still fresh and I had to interview this fashion designer, which turned out to be very complicated! Luckily, we got out of work at a decent hour and had dinner at Magnolia, which a is a cajun private kitchen run by an American chef.

The peas were amazing, and I usually hate peas!

The yams had some kind of orange flavoring...I usually don't like yams either!
