Yes the joy of knowledge. Don't dis sommeliers. They are not just hospitality professionals. There's an infinite amount of information to know, from grape varieties, to regions to which vintages are good. Wine is a very complex subject. In many ways, it can be comparable to art and art history. There's good and bad wine and art, they're both sold in auctions and people who collect art and wine can pay lots of money. Plus, I've always fantasized about becoming a sommelière, and this is probably the closest I'll ever come! The only reason why I'm hesitant to take the exam is because I have a lot of other things to stress about and this would add another thing that will consume my time, since I'll need to study and what not.

One more thing, who ever said anybody wanted me to become a hospitality professional? This test has nothing to do with being a hospitality professional.

I think it's pretty cool to know about wines. That way Ann when we go out to din din you can be the specialist. ;)

Can't wait!
